Hey friends!
It's been a long time coming, but here is my first blog post! Today, I was working on a project with the brand Seven, preparing my presentation for the upcoming Seven LIVE show, and I thought it could be the perfect opportunity to expand upon my presentation ideas in a blog post. I thought to myself, why don't I have a blog? I have a podcast, which has been a wonderful project, but no blog. It's interesting because I absolutely love writing.
Fun fact about me: when I was younger, the only subject in school I excelled in was writing, specifically writing about myself, stories, and ideas I had. I was really into it but didn't continue much later. I've always found joy in writing my Instagram captions, responding to my mastermind members and followers, and I even dream of writing a book someday. Another fun fact is that I have random pieces of my future book saved on my phone and laptop, but I just don't have the energy to put it all together (yet). As a small business owner, my head is always in 500 different places, and managing one thing feels like a luxury. But hey, I chose this life!
Being my first blog post, I guess I will share a little bit about myself and provide some context about why I am creating this blog! First off, if you don't know me, my name is Gina Sicard, also known as Gina Bianca @iamginabianca. I am a new mom, which is currently my favorite part of my life! I am a business owner at The Network Salon and The Network Yoga, and also a business coach in my mastermind group, The Network Mastermind. I have been a small business owner since 2012 - going on 12 years now! My career in the beauty industry has given me many gifts, but the greatest gift is the gift of experience and the gift of CANI, which I learned from Tony Robbins. It stands for "constant and never-ending improvement." I always say "it never ends" when talking about the stress of being a business owner, but without that resistance, stress, and constant challenges, I would have nothing to offer my students as a teacher.
My goal for this blog - the Gina Bianca Blog - is to elevate the beauty industry by writing about and sharing ideas. The first topic I want to expand upon is how to elevate communication flow in your salon culture, which will be my next blog post!
Now that you know a little bit about me, my purpose for this blog, and my experience, I invite you to enjoy and share this blog! Thank you so much for reading this far, and I hope nothing but the best for you.
XO,
Gina
