As hairstylists our industry is constantly changing and evolving. New trends, new techniques, colors, cuts, social media, business, marketing, etc. It can easily get overwhelming causing insecurity and/or lack of momentum for growing. That's where I found myself the past couple of weeks. I've had 1,000 "good ideas" but 0 energy or motivation to do so. Even the smallest steps feels like I'm jumping over the ocean. The hardest part though was realizing that was even happening. We can get so caught up in our own lives and stress it's easy to forget the fact that we have so many tools for help and this class helped me realize that on Sunday. I can feel the spark coming back once again, comfort in knowing that we're not alone in this industry and we're all learning and evolving together. I am so grateful for educators like Gina who aren't sugar coating shit and making it seem like they've just known everything from the beginning.
